Official Statement from Air India
Air India acknowledged the event, stating that it occurred on flight AI2336 from Delhi to Bangkok on April 9, 2025. The airline said the crew followed protocol, reported the incident to authorities, and offered assistance to the victim, who initially declined to file a complaint in Bangkok.
Investigation and Further Action
Air India has established an Independent Committee to investigate the incident and determine what actions, if any, will be taken against the passenger who behaved inappropriately. The airline stated it is adhering to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for managing such incidents.
