💬 Bridging Perspectives
More than a year after the grand "pran pratishtha" ceremony of Ram Lalla, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is preparing for another consecration ceremony next month. This event will celebrate Lord Ram as the King, following the installation of the Ram Durbar on the temple's first floor later this month.
A Low-Key Affair
In contrast to the large-scale event held on January 22 of the previous year, which was attended by over 8,000 people, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this ceremony is expected to be a more subdued affair. The upcoming event will signify the completion of the temple construction, which began in 2020 following the Supreme Court's verdict.
Temple Construction
The construction of the temple complex is nearing completion, with Nripendra Misra, the head of the temple construction committee, stating that it will be finished by the end of this month, while the compound wall will be completed before the end of the year. The temple, built in the traditional Nagara style, features impressive dimensions and intricate details.
Additional Features
The 51-inch-tall idol of Ram Lalla, sculpted by Arun Yogiraj, has already been installed, and the Ram Durbar, sculpted in Jaipur by Prashant Pandey and his team, will soon join it. Additionally, a statue of Saint Tulsidas, the author of Ramcharitmanas, will be installed in the complex. An International Ramkatha Museum is also being developed near the temple, offering visitors an immersive experience into the events of the Ramayana.
